The wife of British boxer Amir Khan appears to have made a series of disturbing claims that her in-laws have mistreated her. Her recent snap story took the internet by storm.
It happened after her last catwalk when her sister in law took side with the haters on Twitter.
People make hate comments; haters are always there, but it isn’t very celebrity like to bring about such issues in public, there is certainly a bigger picture to it.
When Faryal Makhdom posted her story she was with her husband; they were together. This means that she has the support of her husband. She knows what she is doing, and has now become the inspiration for many women in Pakistan who go through similar situations.
Moreover, we received no public response from Aamir Khan on this matter. Did he chose to settle it down domestically instead of posting it on social media, unlike his family? Was he aware of all the violence Faryal claimed to have faced?
Maybe, Aamir Khan did nothing about it domestically so Faryal had to come out in public so that her husband would really notice and feel her pain and would actually do something about it? She probably trying to gain support to prove that she is right. Then again, this is just an assumption.
At first seemed that she was speaking up for the women in general, but as the snap story proceeded she was actually telling her story. Here is what she posted:
Further in her snaps she supports her husband saying that he has done everything for the family but still he has to go through all the despair. She also says that her in laws are jealous of her and also take her for not being a good mother.
In response to Faryal’s claims her sister-in-law decided to give a comeback, though her snap story was not as blazing as Faryal’s.
Faryal Makhdoom again posted a snap in which she was with her own family celebrating Aamir Khan’s birhday. The story seemed to have taken a new turn in favor of Faryal for she was with her husband and child having a great time together like a happy family. Aamir Khan seemed to have put his faith in his wife and have been a very supportive husband in her step against domestic violence even if it was his own family who did it; he seems to have taken a very rational approach to the matter. At least that’s what we can guess from these snaps.

These were the screenshots of her sister and brother-in-law, making fun and indirectly harassing Faryal.
She exposed in laws and made statements that showed that its not only her but her in-laws do not even treat their own son right!
There is also a possibility that maybe her in-laws did something to her again and being bottled up for so long she just couldn’t take it anymore and decided to vent about it. Faryal is a celebrity, so she used her fame as a platform to voice herself.
There was a mix response on social media. Some people said that she did a great job raising her voice for the women considering this is a very crucial issue in our society, while some said that she was exploiting Aamir Khan’s family, the rest were just enjoying the show.
Faryal was however overwhelmed by the positive response from her fans. She put a screen shot thanking them for their love and support.
But the question is what triggered Faryal to open up about it after all this time? And why on social media? It cannot be denied that she did raise a very important matter of domestic abuse that should be taken seriously in our society.
